FAQ

The most common questions, answered quickly.

My file won't load

First check that it's a direct export from RaceStudio3, Unipro Analyzer or RaceChrono, without having been edited in Excel or another program in between (that tends to break the column format). See the common-error detail in Upload a session → Common upload errors.

The times don't match RaceStudio3

It's normal for there to be small millisecond differences: ApexCoach recalculates laps from GPS and the channels, it doesn't just reuse the time the logger recorded literally. Large differences (more than a tenth of a second) do warrant checking the source file.

I don't have GPS, I can't use Replay

Correct — Replay, the track map and the friction circle all need GPS position data. Without GPS, you can still compare laps normally, view channels, the corners table (detected by lateral load instead of radius of curvature), and the AI report.

I don't have a connection, what can I do?

You can upload the file and analyze everything normally — upload, comparison, channels, map and corners all work without internet. Two things wait for your connection: saving the session to your history and generating the AI report. While you're offline, the app shows a banner warning that the session hasn't been saved yet, but it still lets you analyze it; once you're back on wifi or data, you tap "Save now" and only then does it get saved (and then you can generate the report). See the detail in Getting started → What works offline.
